              I saw a bench.
The night was already taking over the world. The sky was so dark, it was as if someone had thrown a moth-eaten blanket over the earth, and the stars were the little holes that had been eaten away by the insects. The bright full moon in the cloudless sky was hanging as if it was a great luminious pearl on the radiant breast of heaven. The park, lonely and only lighted by the  magic blinks of the night was empty.
All of a sudden a man in a black long coat came out of nowhere and he sit on the bench, the one and only  bench in the middle of the park. In his eyes there was his whole life. From the moment he was born till the very moments he could remember as if they had happened a day before, the exact first second he saw her, with her eyes having the same color as the ocean on a storm day, green with tinges of blue and silver, beautiful, and the exact second they met.
At first they spent a couple of hours togheter and the whole time left the same way. There was nothing that could tore them apart as they felt there was something misterious and magical that was bounding them, something out of this world that made them feel thousands of butterflies, spread in a thousand directions everywhere inside they’re bodies. They were in love.
One day she left home earlier. She was spoused to meet a  friend at the cafeteria. As she was running late she decided to take a cab. The driver looked strange and he had a lot of marks all over his face, but there was no time for that. In five minutes, they reached the university. As she had to pay, the driver kept on driving. She started screaming at him and not much after that, freaking out, she began pushing the windows, hoping she would find a way out. But there was none. The car was running faster and faster on the highway as the driver started talking. He told her with the voice of a sick, tired man he was an escaped prisoner. After ten years of enduring unbearable conditions he had finally gotten to get out of that misserable place and eventually, after finding out his family was no longer his and his kids were no longer recognising him, he decided there was nothing left he could do but end the last chapter of his life.
The car was heading towards a bridge under construction. There was a lot of pressure as the girl started crying with heavy hot tears flooding her face and as the man out of a sudden started shacking. There was nothing to be done. Both of them could hear the end getting close just like the tics and tocs of a clock, counting the last seconds of an hour.
After a mile the car crashed into some barrels and eventually fell of the bridge, hit the ground and exploded.
In the darkness of the night, I could feel the hardwood of the the one and only bench in the middle of the park as the crystal moon was bringing back thousands of sad memories.
